IWB holster for K, L, N frame revolvers or GP100
Does anyone here carry a fairly large frame revolver in an IWB holster such as a S&W K,L or N frame or gp100?

If so what make and model holster do you use and is it comfortable for all day carry?

Thanks

JJ

For a wheel gun larger than a J Frame the best option is the Simply Rugged Sourdough with the IWB loops.

I carry a Dan Wesson 14-2 in one (size wise its between K and L frame sized) and its very comfortable.

Well actually mine is just the pancake that I modified to take steel clips instead of the leather loops. You can read about how I did it here.

I use one for a 6.5" N-frame. It works well, but you have to be careful when you sit because it's so long. The cylinder thickness is not a plus when you get it inside your belt. The guy who made the holster is Kenneth Campbell in Alabama. I haven't been able to contact him in years.

All are Simply Rugged holsters with "inside out straps" for use as IWB or OWB. Love 'em and quite comfy all day with a good stiff belt.

All the holsters pictured are from Simply Rugged. That is the "Sourdough Pancake" model with "inside out straps".

They carry fantastic with a good stiff belt. Carrying the Blackhawk all day long is a breeze.

Rob is a fantastic guy to work with, and his turn around time is pretty quick.

The Sourdough holster goes for $60 plus another $15 if you want the inside out straps.

I don't carry a .357, but I do carry a .44, which is similar.

The Hoffners "Miurage" IWB works really well.

Mine conceals my 4" 629 very well.

I recently acquired a Taurus M445CH I am one of those crotchity old retired Feds that never "moved up to semi-autos". When the semi was mandated, I selected a .44 spl as my backup. Once out of the door my wheel gun became primary & my semi became a backup. 'Ole' dogs new tricks? Got by with it till retirement (even though there had been a few "shoots")

The fellow at K-Holster made an IWB model for the GP100 after I asked. I cut some pachmyre grips down to compact size, and use this holster very comfortabily w/ my 4" GP100. Sorry, I don't have pictures.
