Was 43 degrees here in NW Pennsylvania, which isn't too bad for November 10 around here. A friend and I grabbed some revolvers and hit the range. I took my 1955 Highway Patrolman, 3" M60 Pro and my 617, but didn't get around to shooting the 22. My friend brought a 28-2 and an SP101.

We did most of the shooting in the 25 to 100 feet range

I am considering hunting whitetail with my Highway Patrolman this year. We moved back across the muddy section and found a place down in behind some logs where we could take a sitting shot and rest our firearms in the log with the target at 45 yards

Here is my first shot with the big N frame from here

And here it is after the next 5 shots. I knew I mashed the trigger and pulled that one off as soon as the trigger broke, but otherwise I was very happy with the results at 45 yards

Had a good time shooting for 2 hours and created 250 pieces of empty brass for me to reload

That's a perfect scenario for a revolver. I would hate to have to chase my brass there if I were shooting an auto. Nice report and great looking wheel guns.

I do like Smiths N frame revolvers, the two digit model number ones. I have the 27,29 and 25. Unfortunately all my shooting is done at controlled urban ranges. Nice target. SometimesI I envy those that can “plink” at what ever they want to bust, break or explode.

Great shooting! Looks like a good day to me.

Now that's a pretty awesome November day at the range! Nice line-up of wheelguns, especially like the vintage Highway Patrolman!

I spent the day mowing the lawn (no rain and in the mid 40*s), then going over to one of the kid's house for our grandson's birthday party.

I went to the range Saturday afternoon. It was nice, comfortable 76 degrees with light wind from the southwest which made for an enjoyable outing. Sunday morning it was 41 degrees with winds 30-35, gusting to 40 mph out of the northeast and the temperature dropped steadily and it was 31 degrees at sundown. Needless to say I stayed in the house all day Sunday.
