Picked up some new friends today:
Top to bottom, that's a S&W 625 Performance Center (used, but excellent shape), S&W 64 (used), and the cute little Kimber K6 I've had my eye on for a while (new, night sights).
Already put about 80 rounds through the Kimber. It shoots really well, and I'm impressed with the engineering and attention to detail.
The 64 and 625 both have 4" barrels. The photo makes it seem otherwise; don't be fooled. That wacky grip on the 625 may have to go-- haven't decided yet. I have a nice rubbery one on a 325 that I might swap out with.
I've been hankering for the Kimber for months, but couldn't get past the ~$900 price. Today, they were in the mid-700s, so I took that as my cue.
I love my 1911s, but the older I get, the more I appreciate revolvers.
