I just picked up a RIA 3.5in 1911 chambered in 9mm and was looking for some mags for it.

I own several 1911's and I usually buy Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags.
Does anyone have sugestions for Officer sized 1911's in 9mm ? I saw some Wilson Combat mags for ~$40 but was hoping to find some other alternatives that were reliable.

You want metalform ramp-front officer mags
...Sometimes listed as "springfield style"

You can buy them straight from RIA at the advanced tactical website, or from the normal places to buy gun stuff. They're the OEM magazine for Armscor 9mm 1911 singlestack pistols.

They're reliable and cheap, don't bother trying to pay more to increase proper function.

The other style metalform offers has a spacer in back instead of a crimp in the front (you have to make up for 9mm being too small for the mag's external dimensions)

They work OK, but don't feed HP well in my 9mm CS tac

Thanks Dave!

I ordered 2 stainless from Midway. The one they sent with the pistol worked fine with my hollow point handloads so I am hoping the new ones do also.

I ordered two sets of grips for it too. I got some Hogue Pau Ferro grips off Amazon for ~$7 and some LOK G10 grips.
