I'm such an engineering nerd. I was thinking about my old stuff and this question came to mind: How much would it cost today to make an SKS or Mosin Nagant? My SKS is all milled out of good steel. The Mosin would probably be fairly inexpensive, although that barrel length might add to the cost. Any gunsmiths or machinists out there that have a rough idea. I would think somewhere along $500 for the SKS and maybe $200-900 for the Mosin depending on how nice the stocks were. So I would think MSRP for a 2008 produced SKS to be around $600 and $300+ for the Mosin.
