Anyone use these contraptions ?

Guess that it depends on whether or not you will actually use the case as a mat or not and whether you need to carry it around on your back. I get by just fine with a decent soft case and a one of those camping mats that roll up. I haven't seen any Blackhawk products that were dissapointing though, and if you are comfortable with spending 200 bucks on a case then by all means. That being said, I prefer Eagle Industries. They don't push the "tactical, specops" label like Blackhawk does. Also don't ship their stuff in a package that just screams out gun stuff. 
I have the Blackhawk drag bag, though it's not the one with the shooting mat. I didn't like the idea of have to unroll the mat every time I wanted to get the rifle put of the case. The drag bag has held up very well over the last 18 months or so, although I haven't been crawling through the jungle with it, just to and from the range. The bag holds a lot of stuff. I can generally fit everything I need for a range trip in it, including spotting scope, cleaning gear, ammo, binos, etc. I especially like the full length cleaning rod pocket (although I added a steel cleaning rod case, to prevent the rod from flexing in the bag). I also added a shoulder strap, which I use more often than the backpack-style straps. Overall, a good rugged piece of gear.

I plan on using it for primarily as a mat, but also to haul the rifle around on my back. I live in a rural area and know several farmers that have invited me to do some shooting on their farms. Some of them have nearly 1,000 acres and several firing lanes that can go out to 1,500 yards. So basically, I want something that I can throw on my back and hike around with until I find a good shooting position and then roll everything out.
Typically though, I'll drive to the shooting position and then roll out the matt and be done with it.
