Howdy all.

I have a question regarding rifle stocks. I want a Thumbhole stock, left hand shooter/right hand bolt, but made out of synthetic. I don't want wood or a laminate.

Does anybody know if one is being made?

Thanks in advance for your help.

What's the budget? Have you tried calling the likes of Manners, McMillan and HS Precision? I'm asking because I've seen many lefties shooting right hand bolt guns in left hand stocks in benchrest circles.

I'm thinking $200 - $ 500 at dealer cost.

I'm looking to create my dream hunting rifle. I'm not looking to create a bench gun. Also, looking to create an acceptably accurate hunting rifle that I can use in all conditions. The Barrel is blued, and it will be either Green T'd or Robared. I'll have things bedded, accurized, and gone over by a good Gunsmith I trust.

I've wanted a Thumbhole for years, and it's my turn to finally get one. Given that hunting conditions can be tough on a rifle I'm thinking synthetic is the way to go.

Did you call Kevin at Stockade? I think he's about 5 months out on stocks right now. You can pay a little extra to have it expidited.

As far as smith work, I sent him my stripped action and barrel; he's going to do all the work on it. I can't say if he's any good, but I did get a lot of positive feedback from guys that he's built rifles for.

Good luck!
