I want to know what is the best hunting scope for my savage mark ii 22 LR. I was lookin at Weaver, vortex, hawke, Nikon, and ole bushnell. I want the best durability and image quality, also I want it to hold its zero. I'm not goin over 150. Any opinions? I either want a 50 yard parallax 4x or 2-7; or an AO 3-9, and no bigger than 40mm. I like the look of more compact scopes by the way. Are the Nikon and weavers worth 2 Hawkes or 3 busheys?

Scott at liberty optics gives a 10% discount for THR members. I have a Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 coming for one of my CZ 527's from him. Great vortex warranty and quality glass...not China. They have the same model in rim fire with a 50yd parallax. I just prefer Vortex...but after the discount it is 169.00 shipped a few bucks more than you said...

Spend $175 and buy yourself a nikon P-22 in 2X7X32 plus target turrets best bang for your buck IMHO.Just bought one last week from mid south shooters supply $175 TYD.

Get the Bushnell 4 x 12 x 40 AO banner for $100. Mine s be pretty good in the last 13 yrs . Made in Korea but i think they moved to Malaysia now.

Weaver. I recently picked up a 4X28.
The only Japanese scope on your list. Optics Planet had the best price when I was looking.

I went with a Simmons 22 Mag 3-9x. I've popped more sage rats in the head with that scope that I care to make public. It makes my CZ-452 even more deadly. Though, I have to admit, I am extremely partial to irons (mostly cause I'm young and I can see).

I think I'm gonna go with either a vortex or weaver, most likely vortex due to the face its a little cheaper and reliable, and not to big like the mueller.

Grab a clean used Weaver K4. There has never been a more perfect rimfire scope made and they can be had for around $100. It will also withstand years of abuse atop a 30-06:D.

I have the Weaver RV7 2-7x28 on my CZ452 American. None better for the money IMO. If I upgrade? It would be the RV9 3-9 AO. Fine Scopes!
