Rimfire suppressor advice needed

I have had great experiences with the SiCo Sparrow 22 SS.
Good noise suppression, easy to clean (it comes apart - not sealed).
Just a whole LOTTA fun...

But, you also couldn't go wrong with anything @MachIVshooter at ECCO Machine has to offer, either...

...........Oh yeah...........IMO.....;)...

There are a lot of good .22 cans out there, but neither of those mentioned in the OP would be on my list in today's market.

The Dead Air Mask and Thunderbeast TD22 are a couple of the best. Our own Ocelot full size runs right there with those, but I'm out of stock. Only rimfires I have in stock right this minute are Salamanders, which are awesome, but not what everyone is looking for at 3/4" OD. They were designed with smaller rimfire pistols and tube fed rifles in mind, might actually look a little goofy on a bull barrel Ruger MK. They are very light, though, just 2.5 ounces, even though 100% titanium and stainless steel.

I’ll agree with staying away from aluminum monocores. If you don’t keep them really clean, they can cement themselves to the tube, making an already difficult job near impossible. Steel or Ti baffle stacks, and pretreating with silicone oil makes cleaning a snap. Not enough additional weight to make a deal.

Silencers are great on 22 pistols, even more so on 22 rifles. I’d get one for each, otherwise you have to keep moving them.

I really like that one! If and when I get around to buying my next suppressor, you and I gotta talk.

I’ve got a SiCo Sparrow that works well. It stays on my Ruger American .22. I also have a Griffin Optimus Micro that i use on my AR’s…it’s versatile, .22LR to 22-250 if you have thoughts on using it elsewhere.

I have a Liberty Regulator and am happy with it.
It is a monocore so you must be mindful of cleaning it.

I will be getting the Thunderbeast take down soon for its higher caliber ratings.

Keep in mind that a 22 caliber silencer is a gateway drug. You will want to suppress everything after it.

We went to me sisters farm and we were shooting rats with our pistols (Ruger MKIII 22/45 and a S&W Victory) in the back of the barn and they were in the front, they had no clue until I brought up the Taco meat.

Don't forget that Ruger does make a silencer also, the Ruger Silent SR

In MO... nothing in.22lr requires ear protection or silencers...

Your opinion won’t save your hearing. Take that from an older guy with a 30 db hearing loss. Anyone that can’t tell the rather large difference between shooting a pistol with and without a suppressor, has likely already done significant damage to their hearing. Even with my loss the difference obvious and undeniable. I imagine you won’t change your opinion (I didn’t) for a number of years and it will be too late by then.

On .22’s I really like the QD setup on the Checkmate. You do have to have adapters for everyone (or move it from host to host) but it makes is fast to mount/dismount.

I have several rimfire cans.

My 2 favorite are the ECCO Ocelot and the Thunderbeast TakeDown.

Those see many thousands of rounds a year.
