Thanks to Jeeper for the heads up.

National gun rights leaders will be joining with hundreds of local and national activists for the 2003 Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) in Houston Texas on September 26th, 27th , and 28th. This year's FREE conference will provide gun owners with necessary information and networking to defend themselves and their heritage against hysterical anti-gun foes in the media, classrooms, courtrooms and legislative bodies.
Speakers will include: Joe Tartaro, Editor of Gun Week; Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation; Joe Waldron, Executive Director of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms; Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX); Texas State Land Commissioner and father of the Texas’ concealed carry law, Jerry Patterson; the father of Alaska’s new “Vermont style†carry law, Alaska State Representative Eric Croft; Tom Gresham, the host of syndicated radio program Gun Talk; the Executive Vice President of the NRA, Wayne LaPierre; and noted author and scholar John Lott, as well as leaders of the Houston Gun Collectors Association, Texas State Rifle Association and The National Shooting Sports Foundation.

I'll be manning the check-in desk :). They've also got me slated for a 10-minute summary of the Calif situation. Not sure when I'll be speaking though...

Since I'm not from Texas can someone give me directions from I-10?

Also, I will be excercising my 2nd Amendment rights so some guidence would be appreciated. IE. am I gonna have to leave it in the car, will they have places to secure ext...

Lennyjoe,

It'll be good to meetcha.

Once you get into town on I-10, look for Beltway 8 going north. Take that up and around 'til you see the signs for the airport. Have 2 bucks in change handy for the tolls.

You are aware that Wing Wipers buy the first round, right?

That sounds like a really great group of speakers. I'd love to be there, but I don't think it's likely. Are there going to be speach transcripts posted on the website?

Here is a tentative agena for those who might have signed up late.

I am going to go to friday and most of saturday. Unfortunately I cant make it to sunday. It should really be fun.

Will be there Saturday. Should be pulling in around 9 a.m. Driving in from San Antonio.

Wish I could of been there Sunday to hear our own famous Jim March speak but I have to get back to San Antonio.

Anyone going to the shoot up in Waco in Oct?

You guys still have my number?

I dont.

I will be the guy with the Molon Labe tan hat on. See ya all there.

I should be pulling out of the base around 0700. Figure about 3 hours to get there depending on traffic. (I also have a lead foot:D )

So I should be there round 10 am.

Went to have a THR hat made but didnt get it done in time.

How was the first day? Fill us in.

Congressman

Dr. Ron Paul gave a great talk! He also signed copies of his "Freedom Report". A buffet supper that would'nt quit. Met some nice folks and a lot of Texans. :p

Full agenda tomorrow, including Wayne LaPierre.

Marshall MacEuen

& no matter how inspiring the presentations, if you have not walked out of this to "be political" & change it to your tune, the whole invigorating weekend will have been wasted.

Face it, folks.

It's all politics anymore & if you aren't changing it to your ("our," hopefully) bennifit, you've wasted your time.

You either walked out of there more poltically astute or you didn't.

You either now know how to manipulate the system to our liking, or you didn't.

You either got the drift & can now make a difference , or it was a feel-good session & you walked off with not a clue - but you do feel a lot better about it all.

That 1% that actually got a clue, please do go do something with it.

Just got back not too long ago from the Seminar.

Had a great time.

Thanks Thumper, Jeeper and Jim March. I had a great time.

Heres a photo of us at the convention. Yes, THR folks go det a chance to meet each other from time to time.
