This happens to be for .223/5.56, where I have two heads setup, one for trimming and then one for loading.
Trim head:
Dillon FL size/deprime, swage, RT1500 Trim
Load head:
Lyman M, swage, prime, powder, bullet, crimp
?I was curious if the community invokes the swage step on both steps of processing? I am currently, but used a Hornady lock ring on the swage back up die so I could move it between heads easily. I was contemplating doing it only on the load step.
?How do you store your trim head - with or without the trimmer? I’ve been taking it off, and using a trimmed case to re-set it. It’s got the finer thread lock nut, think that’s a 13/16-20. I didn’t get the trim tool head so there’s not a lot of room even with the 7/8-14 lock nut on the underside for two nuts to lock up. And will be running .308 in the future so I’ll need to move it there. Drill and tap for a set screw on that nut?
The setup has been working fine, just looking for other viewpoints!
