RMR Bullets Packaging

Funny , when I got my order I thought they must have busted open at the post office and someone put them back in a box and wrapped it all up with moving tape . They are definitely not going to fall out unless you cut the bag that the bullets are in opening it .

The way they ship them they are in childproof (post office proof) packages.
Not pretty but all that tape makes sure nothing escapes!

Wonder how much a month RMR spends on tape?

At my old house I used to give my post lady a Starbucks card for Christmas for delivering me all the bullets I used.
I'm sure every time she saw the package she said :cuss: him again.

I live in a rural area the postal service doesn’t even deliver down my road . My mail box is on a 2x12 board with about 10 other mailboxes held up with telephone post .
can you jump on the 2x12 and it not break?

As long as you got all of them & they were not too beat up.
I have had shipments that I had to walk out the driveway picking up bullets because the box broke open as they delivered it.

Same here. Our road has a locked gate. The cattle company at the end of the trail actually owns it and everyone else pays a maintenance fee every year plus a portion of any special maintenance, like grading after a big storm. FedEX just leaves packages on the hiway next to the big post box. UPS will go down the road if the gate is open but then they just toss the package over the fence and drive off. Not good during the monsoon season.

We pay for “home delivery” to a P.O. Box but some online sellers refuse to send HazMat packages to the box because they say they can’t send to a postal service center.
Pretty soon the county is taking over the road but the USPS says they can’t create a new route down the road unless it’s paved.

I had a hard time getting 2k 9mm from RMR out of my mail box. It was a very tight fit. I was a little surprised that she (mail lady) was able to put them in. My guess is she had to get out of her van to stuff them in. Normally they just drive to my house, 100 yrds from the farm road. My mail box is on a turn, had a person going to fast or drunk take out everything. Mail box was 10 yrds from where it was originally, post in 2 pieces. So this time I put up a 2 7/8" sch 80 pipe, 3' in the ground filled with concrete, used 3 1/2 bags. The box is attached to 1 1/2" x 3/16" thick angle iron bracket, welded in place. Now the next person who decide to take out my mail box and keep on going will have some major damage. I did put up a bigger mail box to make it easer for them to stuff items into.

Got to like the way RMR are packed, never had any get the inner packaging damaged. I will never order bulk bullets from Midway. The last time I did (20 yrs ago), 30% was missing, and 2 different weights all mixed up from broken up boxes. They still think those little air pillows will hold 30# on impact. Not, pops like a ballon.

My grandfather built the house we live in, and back then the road was owned by the people on it. It got turned over to the county some time in the fifties.

USPS won't deliver here either because the roads not paved. We're about 200 yards from a four lane highway, and about five hundred yards from the post office itself. Oh well.

At least they don't charge us a fee for the PO box, but we had to pay $6 to get a key to the post office. It is kind of weird picking the mail up when the post office is closed though.

My mailbox will hold a lot of weight , it’s the end mailbox right next to the post and it’s the big size mailbox , not the standard size so I don’t have to go to the post office as much when I order online . I was still surprised that she delivered it because of the weight .

That’s a good idea , maybe she will put our mail in the right mailboxes and I will get all of my mail . I have a Starbucks giftcard that someone gave me for Christmas about 8 years ago that I am never going to use . I will have to check and see if it is still good , but if she lives in this county she probably won’t use it either because we don’t have a Starbucks .

Perhaps the reason that the RMR’s make it intact, is that that P.O. Workers think that the package has already been “institutionalized” and in no need of further abuse… so they don’t single it out for more…
They can’t see the abused looking part . The boxes are inside a plastic address bag . But postal abuse was the first thing that I thought of when I opened that plastic bag .

you can use the card to buy beans online and have it shipped! 😂 but that’s if you like burnt tasting coffee

I could hardly get it off .

I'd consider that a "win" over getting a busted open box.

I used to order berrys by the pallet and even though they were boxes, inside other boxes, USPS would still bust them open sometimes, then you get those boxes in another container with most of the bullets you paid for that had run out after the packaging was compromised.

So the boxes aren't pretty. What's the problem?
Getting them out of those layers of taped wrapped boxes . Others do a better job packaging and shipping IMO . Here are 4 other examples of packaging and shipping that I have no complaints about . But I am not walking in RMR shoes so I don’t know what is happening with their shipping . I assume they were getting a lot of open packages complaints reading this thread . But IMO they got pissed off about it and went to the extreme with their tape wrap . Missiouri bullets does something similar , but they don’t put layers and layers of tape on their boxes , you can see a seam to cut .Here’s some packages of bullets that I have gotten from Xtreme , Missiouri , Natchez and Laser Cast that might have come from Midway all do a better job packaging and shipping IMO . I don’t mind paying a little more for better and will put up with something that might be a little aggravating if the end product is better . I will put up with a barking hound in the kennel if it’s a good hunting dog and I don’t have to take it to the Vets all the time . Take one that barks , doesn’t hunt and has to go to the Vets often , he won’t stay here long . I have only read one post here that says that RMR bullets are superior to the others and worth the packaging job . I get that you are not getting loose bullets and I am not either from the others that I have bought from . So it’s going to come down to which bullets shoot the best and to be fair I will update this thread and give my honest opinion and compliment them if the end result is better . I do expect to shoot them more accurately from the past threads that I have read here , thus my reason for buying them . Now to clean some brass and load . Good day for cleaning brass , it is raining here . IMG_2381.jpeg IMG_2380.jpeg

I guess if you want to call a semi sturdy box that is well labeled and all you have to do is put it on the shelf fancy I wouldn’t argue that label , but to me I just call it better . They are priced good for a FMJ bullet compared to other FMJ bullets like Speer and Hornady , but they are not cheaper compared to plated bullets , or cast bullets . So are they better than plated or cast bullets to spend more for something that is packaged better in a fancy well labeled box that stores well and cost less . I am going to do my own comparison, but I would like to hear your comparisons between them and a your favorite plated bullets . I said that I was going to clean some brass today . I went to do that and all of my 9mm brass is loaded now . I will have to do some shooting first , but it’s raining today .
