Hi All,

I'm compiling a list of (civilian legal) firearms in 5.56 that use NATO mags. Help me out!

This should be low hanging fruit for many of you, but so far I have:

AR15
Sig Sauer 556
FN SCAR
FN FS2000

I will update the list as I get more suggestions.

Here's a list of assault rifles and LMGs that can feed from M16 mags (courtesy of Wikipedia):

Armalite AR-18/Howa Type 89
Beretta AR70/90
Beretta ARX-160
Beretta Rx4 Storm
Bernardelli VB-SR
Bofors Carl Gustaf Ak 5

CETME Model L
CIS SAR-80
CIS SR-88
Colt M16/Diemaco C7
Colt M4/Diemaco C8
Daewoo K2/Daewoo K1
Daewoo K3
FAD assault rifle
FAMAS G2
FN F2000

FN Minimi/M249 SAW
FN SCAR-L

Heckler & Koch G41
Kel-Tec SU-16
IMBEL MD2
IMI Tavor TAR-21
Kel-Tec SU-16
Kel-Tec PLR-16
Khaybar KH2002
LAPA FA-03
Łucznik kbs wz. 1996 Beryl
Magpul Masada
Magpul PDR
Norinco CQ
Pindad SS2
Norinco QBZ-97
Remington Model 7615P "Police Patrol Rifle"
Robinson Armaments M-96 "Expeditionary Rifle"
Robinson Armaments XCR
Rubber Duck's AR-15
SA80
SAR-21 (export models)[5]
SIG 556
Steyr AUG A3 (through conversion)
T2 MK5 rifle
Type 65
Type 86
Type 91
Ultimax 100
XM29 OICW

I'm sure there's more, especially when you count rifles like the HK G36 that have modular magwells and can be adapted to run with 5.56mm NATO mags.

Anyone want to weed through RD's paste and comment on them?

Which of them are in production? Which are currently subject to some sort of ban? The M4 is banned by the 86 ban, the M16 is artificially astronomical for the same reason. The HK416 is just an AR clone, and not available to civilians. The SAW isn't realistic to own for normal people. etc. etc.

Maybe I'll make 3 lists:

1) Legal, currently in production, and realistic to own
2) Legal for most people, unrealistic due to artificial pricing brought about by regulation
3) Banned
