Rossi .38 Special

Hello, i was recently gifted a Rossi .38 Special. I THINK its an M88 but am not 100% sure. The weapon has no grips on it but still has the grip screw. The person who gave it too me cant remember what happened to the grips. I would really like to get new grips for it. Ideally larger grips with finger grooves like a hogue or pachmayr type. Can anyone tell me what model Rossi i have for sure and even better what grips will fit it.

Can you post a picture of the inside of the crane and frame? A lot of times Rossi put model numbers there. Then again if all you want is grips, the 68, 88, 27, and 351 all used the same grips. See here for an example...

I have a Rossi Model 89, which is in 32 Long instead of 38 Special. It is a good little gun. I was able to get Pachmayr rubber grips for it easily, and there are often factory grips on Ebay. If you want a 38 snubby and the price is reasonable, these seem to be decent guns.

I had a stainless Model 88 with a 3"barrel and an small adjustable rear sight. At the time I had it there were no other grips, either factory or aftermarket, for the gun so I just added a Tyler's T-Grip adapter on it and it worked great. I used it as my knocking about the backwoods kit gun and it was perfect for the job!

My 511, same grip frame I believe. The foreign EBay grip makers have a few options. These ran $35 a few years ago. Just put in your model number which should be on the frame under the crane. They can be great little guns.
