I picked up a rossi 720 at the local gun show show today and she looks like a real sweethheart.Smooth double action and perfect timing.
Thing is it's a double action only (spurless hammer) and my K-frame holsters don't work with the spurless hammer. What do I need to be looking for holster wise?
Not concerned with concealed carry just want to carry it around the place for snakes and such. Killed 9 around the place last summer includeing 2 copperheads.
I know some folks just say to let the snakes be and I generaly do so long as they're not around the yard or my poultry.

made for a 4 inch k frame smith i have one in suede leather thats comfy and has a thumbreak and my 720 loves it you will too

I use a Galco Combat Master and Ted Bourdon holster. They work great. Also a Uncle Mikes holster if you dont minf nylon. I have all of them. I use them for my 720. It is a sweet shooter. I like my Taurus 431 a little better. But as a carry gun (ccw) it is great

Thanks Arizonagunrunner.
Picked up a Ted Bourdon pancake holster for a 3 inch K frame S&W off Ebay last week and it works like a champ,I love it!
I had a few K frame holsters but none fit the 720 well enough to hold it securely and with the 720's spurless hammer the retention straps on what I had did nothing.
This Bourdon holster fits it well enough that the 720 is held quite securely even without the thumbreak snapped shut and with the design of the holster and the positioning of the thumbreak when the thumbreak is snapped shut even though it was designed for a revolver with a spur hammer you can't pull the gun out even trying to.
Thanks!
