I'm looking for a new carbine and I really like/trust RRA. The Coyote Carbine looks like a nice rifle out of the box but I never handled one.

My first question is does it balance well or is it front heavy? How does it run? How is the accuracy? How does the new opperator stock feel, balance and function? This looks like an upgrade from the older ACE Skeleton Stock.

If I don't get this (maybe just as an upper) I might look at the standard Car 4 Upper and build my own lower.

Thanks in advance.

I've shot the Coyote rifle upper (not on targets though) and quite liked it, a little muzzle heavy but that is what I prefer anyway. For my last upper I wound up going with their ATH upper and it is extremely accurate, I expect the Coyote upper is the same.

Thanks - anyone else? I find it hard to believe only 1 guys got a Coyote Carbine.

I can't attest to having shot one, but I've drooled over one a fellow has at our range. It is an awesome piece of sporting/tacticool equipment. I'm not sure how it shoots, but +1 for looks.

I have never shot that rifle, but have shot more than a dozen RRAs and they all have been very accurate. I would expect 5 shots < 3/4 MOA.

can you even find one? RRA's backordered for months. I've been waiting over 3 for my predator pursuit. Probably won't come till august when it's too hot to go outside...... :(

stupid election year.

RRA makes a great AR. I own the predator pursuit and out of the box shoots sub moa groups at 100 yds. For the money my rifle is a pig and eats anything, and have yet to have a malfiunction.

Don't hesitate; you want the RRA Coyote Carbine for a reason: because it's the ultimate. I have owned a Colt Flat top 16" model 6731 Competition HBAR, and I sold it during hard times; I always told myself I would replace it with the Coyote Carbine. I have drooled over the Coyote Carbine ever since it's ad started showing up in Predator Extreme Magazine. Let me just say that I like my Coyote Carbine so much; that I don't miss the Colt. Here's a pic of mine.

It shot sub-inch at 100 yards just resting it on top of my car, no sand bags. I think it will shoot 3/4-inch or better off bags. I love the hogue over-molded handguard tube; it feels great. The two stage trigger is pretty good for a stock trigger. It's plenty good enough for hunting anyway. The receivers fit together real tightly; with no slop or play. I think the Coyote Carbine is excellent quality for around $1100 give or take a little. I just don't think you can match the quality with a $600-700 AR.
In my opinion, it balances very nice. I always liked the appearance of the ACE skeleton stock; but that's all. The operator butt stock is indeed an upgrade. I love the battery storage compartments which will hold either 4 AA or 6 CR123 lithiums. I have read where some shooters like the operator stock because it has more/better surface for cheek-weld/stock-weld. The Coyote Carbine is just right for me.
