Ruger #1 Scope Mounts

I have a Ruger #1 22/250 with a heavy barrel. I had a Unertl scope on it. I want to replace the scope. The scope mounts are about 7.25 inches on center; this is longer than the tube of must scopes. It talked to Ruger about different mounts. They didn’t know of any and suggested a Unertl or older target scope.

Do any of you know of a mount available as a fix?

I got some of these to correct Ruger's "design problem" with the quarter rib. I've seen photos of complete installations and they don't look bad. The new mounts let you use any Weaver ring set, and provide a few slots to allow for shorter or longer scope tubes.

If your barrel contour isn't factory, you may have to have a gunsmith work over the front mount so the bases are parallel and level.
