Hopefully someone out there can give me some good advice.
I have two Ruger 10/22s that have started holding the bolt open when there are still rounds left in the magazine. This began after I put in after market bolt stops. Even after thorough cleaning this problem continues. I have been advised that the bolt guide spring needed to be replaced so I ordered some springs from Power Custom. Took the rifle apart and I cannot see how you can get the old spring off the bolt guide to replace it. Is there something I am missing here?
Other questions:
1) Maybe this is due to the after market bolt stops I put in? I put some in a couple of other Rugers at the same time and they are not a problem at all.
Are there other possibilities as the source of this problem?
