Yep, 40-45 yards. I'll never be able to do it again!

Crazy how much just floating the barrel a bit changed this gun. But I like it.

Nice shooting!

My wife asked for a 22 rifle for this past Christmas, so I got her a 10/22 and threw a pink Hogue stock on it, along with a Burris FFII 3-9x40 I had that wasn't being used.

I set up a target at 50 yards, and from a bench made from a folding sawhorse and a Caldwell Rock Jr. I fired 10 shots in about 20 seconds.

CCI SV grouped at 1.05", with six shots in a nice 0.45" cluster and four fliers above that opening it up to just over an inch. I bet if I sorted the SV I could eliminate those fliers.

Federal Automatch put 10 shots into 0.80", with 9 shots into 0.6" and a single flier opening it up.

With accuracy like that from essentially a stock rifle and bulk ammo, I'm not seeing much value in the huge 10/22 'accuracy' aftermarket...

Mine responded well to the same thing. I did a bedding job too where I made an epoxy bed at the base of the barrel, and around the receiver.
