Ruger 10/22: Half a dozen 10rd Rotary mags or 2-3 BX-25's?

I have both, and use both. Popping cans etc at the range? BX-25. Walking around hunting or just plinking? 10 round flush mag. I have two of each.

I have quite a few 10-22 magazines, everything from 20+ year old 25 round Eatons, to a Black Dog Machine 50 round drum. For the majority of the shooting I do, the Ruger 10 round rotary mags are the most convenient and tend to get used the most.

With that said, I wouldn't want to get rid of my high capacity mags. While they may not be as practical for hunting or feral animal control, they excel at plinking, spinner duels and gangs of windblown balloons (with a safe backstop of course). The BDM 50 round drum, a BMF Activator and a brick or two of ammo is pure FUN!

I really like the BX-25s more than any other stick type high cap 10-22 mag because they're really easy to take apart and clean. I like to shoot suppressed and that really gets your mags filthy in a hurry. With my older mags the only thing to do was to flush them with solvent and hope for the best. The BX-25s are even easier to disassemble and clean than the rotary BX-10s.
