Folks, if anyone has directions on how to load this magazine I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been given one and wanted to see IF it is functional before ever taking it near a range, and I've gotten no response from the manufacturer's email on their site.

Thanks in advance.

Try This

I'm not positive, but that looks like one my cousin had years ago for his 10/22.
As I recall there was a little handle that was used to turn the top wheel against a spring, then you would load the ammo on the rubber belt grooves. The spring would then turn the belt to feed ammo into the lips of the magazine.

Hope this helps.

How will you see if it's functional without bringing it to the range?

That's the only way to evaluate a magazine.

I plan to load some rounds and just cycle the action to see if it even feeds, if the magazine even holds rounds, things like that.

Waste of time, proves nothing, and gives you lots of opportunity for a negligent discharge!

They mostly work. If yours doesn't try putting in a Volquartsen "exact edge" extractor.

Already have most of the Volq parts in my 10/22, this is more of a "hey here's this mag I don't want it, and thanks for helping on the roof" with no explanation of how it works etc, so I figured it's better to learn a bit about the mag before I am standing at the range, burning time on the line (and money, pay by the hour) fiddling with a mag I have no clue how to use.
