I handled the Ruger American Compact 9 at a gun shop and decided to get one. I have an SR9C already and thought the RAC9 might be good to mess around with so that I'm not putting too many rounds through the SR9C. Once I got it out shooting, I found that the RAC9 had a much stiffer trigger which caused me to pull shots low on target. Also quite a few failures to feed and eject. I am a major Ruger fan and find this hard to imagine. The SR9C has performed fantastically from the first shot. I am getting rid of the RAC9!
