I’ve noticed some lead building up between the around the forcing cone, and between the forcing cone and the top-strap of my Ruger Bearcat. I can also see what appears to be small specks of lead on the front of the cylinder, aligned approximately with each of the six chambers. I’ve not really noticed much spitting. Occasionally, I’ll feel a little spitting, but it doesn’t seem significant. The lead build-up though, made me wonder if this is common on the Ruger Single Action 22 revolvers, or could there be an issue with my gun. I'll amit that I've only shot cheap 22 all lead Remington Thunderbolt bulk pack rounds through the gun. Probably around 500 rounds. I clean the gun after each range session.
