You hear tails of lousy customer service all the time on the web, so I figured I would report something good for once.
I bought a new Redhawk .480 from cdnn sports a couple weeks ago for an excellent price. The gun arrived in a very HANDLED condition. Lock up wasn't the greatest, and it had a problem with the action being very difficult to turn over two of the chambers.
I called cdnn who gave me three options;
send the gun back and they would send me a different one, but I would have another ffl transfer fee to pay
or send it back and get my money back
or Call ruger.
I took option 3, As cosmetically the gun was fine. Despite this particular model being out of production for quite some time, Ruger was very helpful. They scheduled UPS to pick the gun up the next business day no cost to me. They called the day they received the gun explaining what had ALREADY been done to fix the gun and answer any questions I might have had and inform me it would be sent back to me the next business day. They did just that, second day air no less. I got it back today, fixed, functioning flawlessly with a excellent bank-vault lock up now, a surprisingly smooth trigger pull and crisp single action trigger. I couldn't be more pleased. Every manufacture lets out a few problems so I don't hold that against them, and they fixed the problem better and faster than I ever expected.
+1 for RUGER
