I just range tested my LCP after I got it back from the recall. I was dissapointed to learn that the magazines eject after every round fired. the next round fails to load and the mag is hanging out about a 1/4 inch. this happens with the regular mag, and the extention mag. whats causing this? is it something they changed at the factory? why didnt they catch this when they range tested it? thats BS in my book. to send a product back out to a customer when its not fucntioning like it should??? either they didnt test it after the recall, or they didnt care and sent it back to me anyway.

anyone else have this problem??? how was it solved? or was it?

I am certainly not impressed with Ruger for this when they had it back as a perfectly operating gun, and sent it back to me with this issue.

I would appreciate any help. thanks!!!

I am not in georgia.

why do you want it? are they hard to get there? or do you know how to fix it?

They are hard to get everywhere, and I don't mind sending it back to Ruger again. It is not like it costs anything to get Ruger to fix it. I don't know how much you paid for it, but you could probably sell it very quick locally to someone like me who doesn't mind sending it back to Ruger. You would quickly get your money out of it, your problem would be solved, and someone else would be happy with it I am sure.

The demand for these is so high, I think this would be an easy solution to your problem.

Happened to me after about 100 rounds. I sent it back for a new metal mag disconnect. Ruger fixed it. no problems now.

I paid $330 for it total.

I will send it back. I am not going to sell it. I just dont see how it could work just fine BEFORE the recall, and then they send it back to me with a malfunction. it just dont seem right to me. I am sure they will fix it. its just a hassle of sending back and forth.

I wouldnt worry about the hassle. They make it easy to send back, and will probably give you and other free magazine for it, which is worth $30. You have to keep it in perspective. People are lined up and paying up to $450 for these right now.

ruger has great customer service and make you right. they will probably have your gun back to you in a week, and give you an extra mag for your troubles.

i wouldn't worry about it at all. they stand by their products.

bltmonty - mentioned above about a metal mag disconnect. Do the new LCP's come with metal mag disconnects?
