It seems the LCP is a pretty reliable micro .380 and as a SD carry gun you always want to prove reliability of the gun you're going to carry.
So how many rounds would you feel comfortable shooting without a FTF to bet your life on it? This is kind of a conundrum.
First off, I need to shoot the SD ammo I plan on using, which is Hornady Critical Defense. I ordered up 200rds of it. I also ordered up 500rds of WWB. Now here's where I am debating myself. How many rounds do I break in with ball? 100? 200? Then how many rounds should I prove reliability with the Hornady? 100? 200? When does reliability start to decrease with round count on this little gun? 500? 1000?
Point being... it needs to prove 100% relibility with me. But all guns and especially smaller ones like this do wear themselves down with round counts. Things like springs get worn, extractors, etc... So when is it shooting it too much come into play?
Am I over analyzing this? :banghead:
