This is going to sound picky (for a mouse gun), but I noticed yesterday while cleaning a LCP that I could only locate 3 of the 6 lands, or half the rifling in the last part of the barrel.
I have had several LCP's over their years of existence, never cared about accuracy.....it's a pocket gun. But, this one is strange.
I bought this one a few months ago after buying one to replace my wife's stolen CCW. I didn't realize what a good job Ruger had done at improving the trigger and beefed-up the sights. Now I wanted another one for me.
Take it to the range, and at about 20' it shot like a finely tuned target pistol. Every spot I wanted to hit, I hit. Laser like.
I have shot it a few times since the original break-in, all has been well.
Yesterday a co-worker and I skip out from work to run some AR's and what's in our pockets - LCP's. Mine shot a shotgun pattern at 7 yards? I get home and clean it, only to see that half of the rifling is not there (looking at the crown and down the barrel.
I would say around 300 rds through it.
Anyone care to look at their LCP's and see if it looks like mine? I'm guessing most folks don't put much stock in an LCP and accuracy, but I'm curious now.
