Why is this just the coolest carry piece I have. It was cheap, not fancy, near zero features, but for some reason it's just well designed. The only thing I would change on it would be making it striker fired... Fits in a pocket, and it's the only one I can tolerate AIWB for any length of time. What say ye?

It was based on the Kel-Tec P3-AT, which in itself was based on the then-innovative Kel-Tec P32. Ruger managed to clean it up some more.

I don't have one, nor a P3-AT, but I do have a P32. It truly is a neat and convenient pistol to own and carry. I wish options like these had been available back when I was in law enforcement (though I never did suffer from the lack thereof.)

Because it is small and light and very easy to carry concealed. That is why I end up carrying my P3AT so often.

Because the trigger pull on the first gen was so bad, and Ruger deactivated the last shot hold open, and the recoil is "snappy" at best - I sold it.

I bought a different gun that weighs the same, fits in the same box, has a better trigger pull, loads and chambers every time as recommended with the slide release, and shoots a box of 50 with less hassle than the other. It cost more. You get what you pay for.

I might be a lone voice crying in the wilderness but no, the LCP isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. There are plenty of better pocket pistols out there. What there are is a lot of new CCW who are still getting their feet on the ground.

The used market is going to be stuffed with them in three to five years as owners upgrade to better guns. I predict prices under $100 and the press demonizing them.

The light 380's are not my favorite range toy but with the techna clip they are one of my favorite to carry.

The KelTec P series, Ruger LCP and Taurus TCP are all almost identical. IMO the TCP is the best of the three.

I like my LCP. It is a good gun for it's purpose. Only thing is, I had to learn to reposition my shooting thumb so I wouldn't accidentally hit the mag release, but that's no big deal. The gun itself works flawless.

Love my 6yo gen 1 LCP...great pistol. I've recommended it so much I know 7 people that bought one. A couple of people even have two, none have any complaints.

I do plan on picking up the LCP custom, I really can't imagine a better pocket pistol. Accurate, reliable, easy on the wallet, and best of all it'll fit in your pocket.

I have the lcp custom and am surprised how well I shoot it. On the other hand its not fun to shoot more than 4 or 5 mags at a time.

I would lite to try a laser grip on one...
