Can't find the thread on refinishing. Plan to use a 2-1 stripper since I have a qt unopened. Will tape checkering and try hard to keep original profile. Will replace the cement hard recoil pad with a new Kick-Eez pad, and debating putting in a white spacer. The pad should be easy. I plan to use a satin oil finish on the wood because I don't like flash and bling. The scope will be painted a flat black.
Any suggestions or advice welcome. The rifle was inherited. Bbl and bore look good, already replaced the aluminum floor plate that was broken. This is a "Liberty" model M77 in 25/06. Wood shows hard wear and probably from a saddle scabbard (ranch gun) but should clean up nicely. Thanks for your help folks. Semper Fi
