I picked up a Ruger MK 1 air pistol cheap at Uncle Wally's and am very disappointed.
The crappiest sights that I've ever seen and an absolutely horrible trigger pull.
I currently own several Ruger firearms and this piece of junk is not worthy of the name.
Maybe I can tackle the issues though.

Ruger didn't have anything to do with it, except letting Umarex who made it, put their name on it.

I am dealing with the same bad trigger on a Gamo I bought 17 years ago. I am going to put a Charlie Da Tuna trigger in it. You might see if it will work for yours. As far as bad sights you might be able to just bypass the sights and put a affordable scope on it. Does it shoot Ok?

You bought a spring piston pistol, a great trigger is not to be expected. It will also be hard to shoot properly, as it's a pretty powerful spring piston pistol.

Have you worked on the adjustments on the trigger? The sights are just basic fiber optic sights, what don't you like about them?

The trigger pull is excessively heavy and only adjustable for over travel.
The pistol at first shot so low that raising the rear sight to it's limit was not enough.
I shot the pistol about 200 times and it seems to be shooting where I'm aiming.
I hit a coffee can lid 10 straight times at 30 yds. today so maybe all is not lost.

Sounds like pretty good accuracy all things considered. Sometimes if you shoot them enough they start to grow on you. I have some real challenging ones to shoot and sometimes I take them out just for the challenge.

Right, spring pistons do tend to have a break in period.

It's unfortunate that there wasn't enough adjustment, hopefully the POI stays in a decent range for you.

Hopefully you end up liking the gun. The review I read on it said that they were able to pretty well eliminate the creep in the second stage with the adjustment, I don't have one so I have no idea.
