Have a Ruger Mk II that shoots great for me but.....many failures to feed, bolt not closing all the way when released, top round in magazine not feeding(stays in mag). Have tried 4 different brands of ammo, CCI HV hollow points are best, at times 2 10 round mags will "work" perfectly, next 2 problems again....any ideas for a cure??? Note: I clean pistol after each range session, but NOT a complete takedown.

It sounds fouled to me. I'd say try a complete takedown. If you haven't done it with a ruger mark, it can be tricky. Once broken down, clean and very very lightly lube moving parts.

Make sure the pistol is assembled properly. I recently saw a Ruger auto pictured that appeared to have its recoil spring and guide installed backward; not surprisingly, the owner reported the same kind of failures.

I had similar problems with a standard (mk I) and it came down to a couple magazines I had that had been abused at some point. They are the weakest link, and worth taking a look at.
Look for dents, and that the feed lips are to spec. When in doubt, put new springs in them, too.
