Installed and then uninstalled a Volquartsen hammer and sear now I cannot get enough travel out of the trigger to move the sear to drop the hammer. No parts left over and have installed and reinstalled the old and new parts several times. I still cannot get it to work. The trigger is barely moving the sear to disengage with the hammer. And no matter which way I put it together I cannot get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas on where I went wrong ? Or what I am missing ?

make sure the trigger spring is underneath the plunger. suggest you download the schematic for reference. if the spring is not there neither setup will work. let us know.

If you mean the trigger spring that goes in the top of the trigger and holds up the disconnector, its in there. The overtravel screw was taken out. The trigger appears to be going to full stroke but the disconnector is not moving enough to pull the sear away from the hammer. The sear is not even moving out from underneath the safety.

ok. i'm gonna throw out a few wags. make sure the safety has the detent ball installed. hammer pivot is inboard of the disconnector. sear is not in backwards. safety is not on. check for any obstruction between disconnector and frame (no sticking in the down position. sear spring not installed backwards (small end up against the sear).

that's it for now. brain is fried. keep it a comin.

one more: make sure the hammer strut is in the pivot recess on the main spring housing assy. when you reassemble.

Checked all the above. All appears to in tip top shape, all parts are installed and in the correct configuration. Will attempt taking it all apart again and putting all the old parts back in and seeing if it wants to work.
