I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the holes should be located on a factory drilled and tapped MKII receiver. There are 3, 2 in front of the ejection port and one to the rear. It looks like I could just straddle the ejection port evenly with the rear and middle screw, but would like some confirmation that this is how ruger did it. I am mounting a Weigand base and need to do my own drilling and tapping.
Not of any relevance, but I converted the gun to 17 Mach2. I bought a 17 cal barrel blank from Brownell's, cut it to 5 or 6 inches, tapered it, threaded it, milled the feed ramp, chambered it with a Manson reamer, machined, knurled, and welded a weight on the the back of the bolt to account for the extra power, and installed a 1911 dovetail front sight blank, then bead blasted and blued the gun. Now its getting a Leupold 2x long eye relief scope on the Weigand mount and Burris Zee rings. Should be pretty sweet when I'm done
