I had so hard time trying to put 22/45 back together..
The main problem is
1. Hammer blocking mainspring housing.. If I force the mainspring housing arm into the slot, the bolt stop pin will leave leave the bolt
2. Hammer blocking bolt from fully retracting.. Once I managed to put everything back together, the bolt can only be retracted for like an inch... Sometimes if I pull really hard on the bolt I does fully retract but not smooth at all, and something else works weird (mag drop button stuck in the middle, mag does not move, or it's nearly impossible to push down bolt hold open button)
The manual and video says to dry fire it at different angle with mag in to manipulate hammer position but it does not always work.. once it's decocked I can't cock it because the bolt can't be fully retracted...
It took me like 3 hours to put it back together... hope it works this time...
Any thoughts on the correct hammer position during reassembly? Was I doing something wrong? Thanks
I guess this is probably the hammer position that was causing problems.. Once the hammer gets into this position, the only way to make it horizontal is 1. insert the mag 2. push it forward 3. pull it all the way backwards... During normal operation, the hammer is never supposed to go this far forward, isn't it?
