I just bought a new blackhawk revolver and after one shooting session, the rear sight pivot pin came out half way. I can push it in but it's lose and keep popping out after a few rounds. Can I loctite the pin or any suggestion appreciated.

HammerBite, Sorry for the confusion. I meant rear sight pivot pin.

Make sure that the rightmost lower grip frame screw, behind the trigger guard, hasn't backed out. This screw is supposed to engage a groove in the hammer pivot pin, thereby locking it in place.

Another possibility is that the factory installed the wrong screw. The rightmost screw is supposed to be longer than the leftmost screw.

Note also that the hammer pivot pin should be oriented with the groove at the rightmost end.

If it is the front pin on the rear sight I had the same issue. pull the pin half way out and bend it slightly then tap it back in. The slight bend will add friction to the pin and it will not come back out.

Be pretty darn hard for that screw to also retain the pin in question which is for the rear sight. LOL
