Anybody have an opinion of one?
I could a offer in a new one at 439.00 and I almost pulled the trigger on but
told him to wait one more day.
The only thing I saw that I did not like was the weight....felt to light IMHO.
the plus is holds eight rounds and is made in My HOME STATE AZ:D
if it just had another 4-5 onces to it I would have bought it today.

Great gun! Not only are they light, they have less recoil then any 45 I've shot. Very accurate, too:)

I have a couple of boxes through mine and have no complaints. Its easy recoiling even with the hot loads I was shooting (Winchester Ranger 230gr +p @ 1000fps) no hiccups at all. Its easy to carry and has a good trigger pull. Out of the box its as accurate as I ever need it to be, and the build quality is first rate.

I am selling it as I want to free up some cash to buy a 10mm that just became available. PM me and we can talk turkey if ur interested, Il let you have it for $350 with two nylon holsters and a box of Winchester Ranger ammo

i have owned one, it was the most accurate gun that i have ever owned. I was blown away by the amount of accuracy it could produce. the da trigger wasn't that bad, and it was real smooth. and the sa was real nice, for such an inexpensive gun.

Here is a thread that I started a few years ago: http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=186512

I have since moved on to the 1911

It is heavier, waaay better trigger, and the four that I have now ( 2XRRA, Colt 70, and Caspian) are all the best 45s that I have shot)

I loved my P345, get it if you wish.

The 1911s are so much better for me, however; due to feel, weight, handling, and of course, accuracy.

If your concern is excessive recoil, the .45 is not the vicious brute some people make it out to be. I've fired it in much lighter guns (e.g., Glock 36) with no ill effects.

I have a few 45s and one is the ruger p97 which is similar to the 345. It is very accurate and the recoil is light. I have my buddies 345 here too and it shoots the same way. Both guns are very reliable too. Mark

I have one. I love it. I shot it before at the range a few times and I loved it. It feels perfect with a mag in place. Shoot it and see.

I love mine. Very accurate. The gun shoots one hole at 12-15 yds. Please note I did not say "one bullet hole" A full clip stays in one ragged hole 2 1/2-3" that's MOG accuracy. (Minute of Goblin). Eats anything I feed it, perfectly - never a hiccup. Recoil not a factor and I think it's due to the grip/angle/design; or sumthin'.

It is my carry gun except for when I'm dressing light in hot weather and then I carry my P-11. Don't know about that price - haven't shopped for one lately and I tend to be a sucker for online auctions... but you won't regret buying it.

For those who have shot both of Ruger's .45 autos: how does the P345 shoot compared to the P90? I ask this because I only have experience with the P90.

I picked up mine brand new less then a month old from the factory for 500 after tax. So about 470 before. Worth it to me. Shoots like a 9mm for recoil but has that big boom and makes nice big holes.
Never shot a p-90 before. Makes me want to though

Its the super light recoil spring. My P345 would throw the empties, about 25'. Ruger uses a very light recoil spring in this gun, but the heavy damper spring slows the slide before it gets all the way back.;)

Dont know if this is important to you or not, but the P345 has a magazine safety, conventional slide safety and a loaded chamber indicator.

I grew up on Glocks so this was new to me, but my wife really liked these features. Its not her gun, it sits in my nightstand, but she liked that if the neices and nephews came over and I wasnt home she knows how to activate the safety and put the gun in my gun cabinet. She's new to guns and prefers revolvers (ironically no manual safety)

This may or may not be important to you, but it is to some so I figure its worth pointing out

P90 vs P345

I love them both, but they have different strengths.

The P345 is lighter, slimmer and stubbier (slightly) than the P90. It's not a micro 1911, but it's much more concealable than its larger cousin. The only flaw for me was the grip shape. It was TOO slim; a Hogue Hand-all fixed that. Both have excellent SA triggers, the 345 a marginally better DA pull.

Both should be frightfully accurate and stone-reliable.
