Got a Ruger P95. Its fairly new. I have less than 300 rds through it. I bought it new. I polished the ramp and throat. Still have lots of FTF and FTE with all bullet weights. Help?:banghead:
Magazine issues account for more than half of cases of consistent failures of the type you mention. How many different magazines have you been able to try?
These are typically great, rock-solid-reliable guns. Hate to hear of someone getting one that won't run properly. Other than the above, I have nothing for you. Good luck.
Loved both the P95's I owned. Neither one liked Blazer aluminum cased ammo too much, but ran everything else like a champ. Could be as MedWheeler said. May try a thorough cleaning, oil it up and try again.
+1 on limp wristing. I bought a P-95 new last summer. The first day at the range was embarrassing. Constantly clearing stove piped spent casings (all factory ammo - no reloads). Went home and googled P-95 problems and solutions. Found out that this particular Ruger does not like limp wristing. I'm 64 , skinny arms, skinny wrists, long skinny fingers and arthritic. Bought a limb saver grip sleeve and never had a problem since. No FTE's, FTF's or stove pipes. Shoots all types of reloads reliably as well as factory ammo.
I find it interesting that a particular pistol can react like that. I have an LC9, SR9C, S&W M&P Pro 40, Kimber Classic Stainless Target .45 and a Springfield 1911 Loaded Target 9MM all with stock grips and never had any problems with limp wristing. I wonder why.
