So I put a Romeo5 on it today. Then shot 3 different rounds outta it; Winchester white box 115 FMJ, 124 gr Berry’s plated over 5.6 grains Silhouette loaded long, and some 115 grain XTPs over 6.5 grains HS6.
At 50 yards the groups were 2.5” plus, off a bench. After I was done I walked the point of impact into the point of aim. Last 3 shots I turned down the brightness in the red dot and those 3 shrunk considerably.
I’m hoping I can shoot this to the MOA in the scope at 100 yards. It’s a 4 MOA and if I can do that, I’ll be pleased.
The trigger has a considerable amount of creep, I haven’t measured the break over point but I believe it’s around 6 lbs. But I get the purpose of the gun isn’t extreme accuracy. But trying to make it shoot as well as I can is what I do.
I’ll start the 147 project soon, depending on when the weather keeps me inside.
PS: The gun has functioned flawlessly in the 40’or so rounds I’ve put through it.
Edit: I did notice the group climbing. It’s definitely not free floated. Not even sure it can be. But soon I’ll remove the stock and see how it works. Potentially remove some material and bed it, if that’s possible on this platform.
