I never considered the Security 9, thought that it looked like a cheap POS. Two years ago, my dad bought a pair of them for him and my mom and I put a few hundred rounds through them...they were a lot more ergonomic, reliable and accurate that I ever thought they would be.
That prompted me to buy a pair (one each) for both of my sons, and one for myself. Again, they've all three been nothing but accurate and reliable. When my son's fiance decided she wanted to get a handgun for her apartment, guess what we bought her...
I'm not giving up my Sigs, Walthers, H&K's, etc. to go all-in on Security 9's, but they work great if you need an inexpensive, reliable handgun.
