Good day all!

Got a nice little Security Six and have noticed an issue. After about 6 or so cylinders of any ammo - light 38 target handloads, commercial 38, 357 full house - I'll have the ejector rod be a bit loose and will cause a dragging sensation when shooting DA or SA.

Would a drop of blue loctite be a bad idea on those threads that engage into the ejector star?

Thanks!

I did that on a Dan Wesson revolver and had a very tough time unscrewing it to install an end shake bearing. If you use loctite use the purple #222 that's supposed to be the easiest to disassemble. Better yet, get the tool made for the job and tighten it snuggly(with empty cases in chambers) before you use loctite. Brownells or Midway sells them. Good luck.

Thanks!

I was going to say to use the light duty blue locktite, not medium. The stuff runs like water so be careful if you buy some.
Not the old thick locktite from years ago or the lip stick type paste blue locktite. That's medium duty and it's to much.
I think the 222 Stonebuster is talking about is the same stuff that I'm talking about. It is more purple than blue.
