A number of years ago bought a Ruger SP101. The DA trigger pull was really bad. It almost felt like it was binding up near the end of travel. It was so bad I didn't shoot it much and it more or less ended up in the back of the safe for years.
Recently I ordered a Wolff 12 LB hammer spring. Stock is 14 LB. I lightly stoned all the edges of the hammer spring strut with the hammer spring off. I installed the 12 LB hammer spring and used some Moly grease on the hammer strut pivot point.
The results was a much noticeable improvement in trigger pull especially DA.
Took it to the range last weekend to fire 70 rounds of handloads using the harder CCI 550 primers to check reliability. Worked good, wished I had done this sooner its like a different pistol.
