Evening, I picked up a ruger vaquero, ss, 7.5" in 44Mag, A while back, im wanting to put a power custom Bisley style low spur hammer and trigger kit in it, but my vaquero has a XR3 style grip, so do I need to order a bisley grip frame along with the hammer and trigger kit? by the way this is my first revolver. Thanks for any help! Jeffrey.

I think it would be far easier to install a Super Blackhawk hammer. With your frame that should be a drop-in. I've done that change myself. If it is possible to install a Bisley hammer on that frame, it would require some fitting at the very least.

I'm sorry I can't help with the question asked but I can say the XR3 frame is a really nice frame.
It's close to the size of the original Colt SAA revolver.

I bought and original Bisley Vaquero made the last year before they went to the smaller frame.
I understand why you want a Bisley hammer and trigger. It's a fine shootin revolver.
I would love to have a Bisley setup on the XR3 size frame...
