Oh yes we did! Pretty sure we're going to hell for this one. Wanted to try some cheap Russian steel case hardball out of the Kirst conversion. It works just fine, extracts a little sticky.

Quick 10 shots at 15yds offhand. Definitely needs a taller front sight. May cut it back to 5".

Not an 1860, nor even a conversion, but it does have a 5” barrel.

With the conversion cylinder, it would be very much like the revolver carried by Dallas Stoudenmire and also like the one that killed him.

That's a cool conversion CraigC, did you buy it converted or do it yourself? Been really wanting a 45 APC single action myself, and I love the 1860...
 
single actions are the best revolvers to shoot steel case from.
