Rust-Oleum is better stock paint better than Duracoat…

I bought that exact same can of paint as OP bc i didn’t like plastic furniture on my Maverick 88
It came out ok-ish, where I messed up is when I was creating faux wood grain with black stain, over brown spray. I should have used smaller brush and more patience.

Just in time when I was in doubt what to do.
I got this gun recently and I thought that it would be much nicer if it gets a more classic, older-shotgun look. I was searching internet and several ideas came up among them is where you put your stock and foregrip in a big vessel filled with water and over special faux wood film that floats , and a film ( sort of) sticks to it.
Then your post came just in time . I didn’t even realize there is a textured wood color spray - thanks again !
