I am new to this group, but have a 1851 Colt replica, purchased in upstate NY in mid to late 70's. It was fired and there are 2 chambers with rusty nipples, that do not budge to come out. I purchased a ratcheting nipple wrench and have not used it yet. The cheaper hand wrench does not budge them. I read in Nipple Replacements in this forum, to use liquid wrench or Kroil. Should I put the liquid in each chamber overnight, plugging the nipple holes. Is this the best thing for me to do? Thanks!
