Obama supposed to have public address at 5:30 on all the failed gun bills on cnn...amazing since voteing isnt done. He must have a psyhic..

Cornyn failed, but got a lot more votes than I thought it would.

Feinstein now berating her colleagues, and won't even get off the podium when reminded her time has expired. "Show some guts" she cojoles her fellow Senators, but delivers a messy, emotional and factually flawed diatrabe (as usual).

Grassly rebutting, by relying on citing court precedent and noting the slippery slope from attacking the 2nd amendment to attacking the rest of the Bill of Rights.
 
The bill is now super draconian, so having a good bill attached to it dies us no good. I do hope to see the AWB go down in flames though.
 
Is it the whole Bill, or amendments to it?

Also, I've never been a massive fan of Richard Burr, but I have to say... I like what he said.
 
They are just voting on the amendments in my post #114.

Currently, they are just voting on amendments; but the bill needs 60 votes to pass. Since no amendment yet has gotten 60 votes, this bill is likely dead. The White House, Bloomberg, etal are already in full hissyfit mode.
 
Right, AWB failed. Ms Feinstein was fussing before the vote that the amendments needed 60 vote to pass and not just a majority.

Well, her amendment did not even get the 51 votes.

Schumer just equated number of people on the NICS list with improvement. Not as to whether they should be there or not, but the more that we can get on there, the more gooder the system is.
 
Schumer up to his old tricks. Says that 130K vets will simply be removed from the restricted list, when the bill says that it will be done by a court order. :scrutiny:
