Bought myself an after Christmas, Christmas present today. Been wanting something cheap to plink around with and picked up a S & W 22a from my local gun shop. I've been reading the pros and cons about this particular pistol on this sight for the past couple of months. Seems like the biggest problem with this choice is the type of ammo. Let me hear the suggestions for ammo to try first in a brand new pistol. Hope to shoot it this weekend. Thanks ahead of time for your comments !

CCI MiniMags should do the trick. Just avoid the standard or subsonic velocity stuff. Good luck and enjoy your new pistol.

I'll second cci minimags. My 22a runs 99.9% on those. Other brands I've tried range from 50-75%. Stick with minimags and you'll be happy.
