New member here, just bought a 340 m&p. Very excited. It was a hard gun to find.
Shooters in jacksonville Fl, has about 50 they said shootersjax.com. $649.00

hey good luck with the gun. I have the same one with well over 1000 rounds through it over the past 4 months. I really like the gun. I found that getting aggressive gripping the gun really limits the recoil for all loads - 38 , +P's and 357's. There is an M&P 340 thread here in revolvers on THR you should check out. Great info and lots of experienced posters.

Welcome to the highroad. That is a great gun, especially if you put the laser grips on it. I've had mine for over a year as a BUG and off duty carry and absolutly love the little big gun.

did you (newer) guys know

that there is a long-running thread here dedicated to the M&P 340 (and some of its variants?)

Here is the link.

Take time to read it--there's probably some information in there you can use.

Well, i have been doing alot of research on small framed revolvers and the 340 m&p just really caught my attention. I was looking at the 642, but after finding the 340 m&p my decision was easy. I am 31 yrs old and my wife and i are expecting a baby boy in about 5 weeks, to be honest with you, i want to do everything i can to protect my family. I do lots of hunting, so i have multiple rifles and shotguns, but this is my first handgun.

Nice choice I have one as well. I have had one for about a year now and to me there is not one negative about this gun.
