what can you all tell me about this little pistol- fixed sights, 6". why did they discontinue them? were they junk or what? thanks.

The 422 is the all alloy version of the 2206 which is all stainless. In between the two there was a 622 which was an alloy frame with stainless slide.

The 622 seems to be the preffered by most due to balance but I sure love my 2206 and it's extra weight. Have heard a few people complain about the 422 being too light, but I find that hard to believe unless you are simply just a picky sumb*tch about everything.

Most folks who have owned any of these variants give great reviews for reliability and accuracy. Granted there are a few out there that have nothing good to say about them, but I sincerely think that can happen with any gun out there...period.

Do some searches here at THR for 422, 622, 2206, 2213, 2214 and the likes and you will get plenty of info on these guns. If you need more info, do the same searches at rimfirecentral.com as well.

As mentioned, I have the 2206 and love it, even though I haven;t had much time to send lead downrange with her yet. If I can find a nice 422 or 622 for a decent price I will surely scoop it up if I can.

Hope all of this has helped and WELCOME to THR!!!
