I don't have one, but I saw it in Guntests, and even though it is only a .32, and I am mostly an auto guy, especially for carry, and my other two revolvers are both .357s, I really, really want one. The upside of the .32 is that it would probably be easier for my wife to use (it will be for her carry gun, after all) than a similiar J frame in .38. I know Georgia Arms makes .32 H&R ammo, but I haven't realy checked anything else. What is availability of good carry ammo for the .32 H&R? Is the recoil less than a similiar .38?

And lastly, does Safariland make its excellent "Comp" style speedloaders for the 6-shot .32 J frame? In the future, would it be possible to modify the chambers to accept .327, or is the gun probably not strong enough for that? I will probably never do that, but its nice to be aware of possible options.

Thanks!

I doubt the M431 is heavy enough to fire the .327 Federal Magnum round since the pressures are a lot higher than those generated by the .32 H&R Magnum.

If you are really interested in buying a S&W .32 Magnum revolver they are available from RSR Group but your dealer will have to order it for you. They have a M431PD available which is a fixed sight Chief's Special frame (like the M37) and the M432 which is fixed sight Centennial frame model. (like the M442)

I carry a 432PD. I load mine with Federal's 85gr JHP, though I'm planning on trying the GA ammo in the near future. Recoil is less than standard pressure .38 Special.

Good to know recoil is fairly low, if I get one it will certainly become my wifes gun almost immediately.

Thanks!
